Most of our ready made decals are roughly 6"x6" and priced at $7 to $8. If you have a specific size or color let us know. We do what we can to make sure you have exactly what you have envisioned. Custom pricing depends on size and complexity. Larger orders and wholesale rates available on request.

Four steps to a clean stick!

Clean the surface
Clean the surface thoroughly using rubbing alcohol or soap and water to remove oil, dust, and grease. Dry the area completely with a lint-free cloth or paper towel. Ensure the temperature is mild (ideally between 50°F and 90°F) before proceeding.

Prepare decal
Rub the front and the back of the decal firmly with a squeegee or credit card to help the vinyl stick to the clear transfer tape. Peel the paper backing away slowly at a sharp low angle. Check that every part of the vinyl design lifts off the paper and stays attached to the clear transfer film.

Decal placement
Align the decal on the surface, using masking tape or a center hinge method to keep it straight. Press the decal lightly onto the surface once you are happy with its placement.

Remove transfer tape for final placement
Use a squeegee or credit card to press the decal firmly onto the surface, working from the center outward in overlapping strokes to remove air bubbles. Slowly peel off the clear transfer tape at a sharp low angle, making sure the vinyl stays stuck to the surface.

Grit City Decals started the way most good things do, out of necessity and a little stubbornness. Based in Tacoma, WA, every decal is made in house using premium vinyl built to last outdoors, on vehicles, and anywhere else you want to leave your mark. We are not a big box printer. We are just two people that care about every order.

Most of all, we’re proud to call the Pacific Northwest home. From the Olympic Peninsula to the mountains, forests, rivers, and everything in between — we love putting a little PNW pride into everything we create.

Grit City Decals is a passion driven shop based out of Tacoma, WA. Every decal is custom made, cut, prepared for installation and packed by Erica and Ryan personally.
Most decals available are roughly 6"x6". Larger and smaller sizes (up to 12"x24") are available on request. Just send us a message if you would like one of our decals in a different color or size. If you have an idea for a decal let us know. We would loved to help you create it!

Yes. Custom is what we love. Send your idea, logo, quote, or sketch using the custom decal form and we will send back a quote within a day or two.
Because most decals are cut to order, we do not accept returns. We understand that things happen. So please reach out to us with any issues. If something arrives damaged or wrong, message us and we will make it right, no questions.
